That's right. There is nothing that could keep me away from a delicious flight of brews. Not even my new year determination. Dr. Mike wouldn't want me to miss this. He said so in the book. He says something to the effect of, "If there is something special that you want to eat, go ahead and go off the diet. It's OK! Just go back on the very next day." His words will resound joyfully in my head with every little shot glass full of delicious funky beer! The trick is to not drink so much that I feel like eating three chili cheese dogs from Skyline, a Super Cheese pizza from Marion's and the entire left side of the Taco Bell menu tomorrow!
I'm over my starvation feeling. Today was much better. I need to thank Cody Bowersock and Jamie Hunlock for their very inspirational comments when I posted yesterday's entry on Facebook yesterday. They totally helped! Work today was so extremely busy that I didn't have time to be hungry. Plus the menu today consisted of this bangin' chicken soup! Let me know if you want the recipe!!!
Day 4 Menu
Wake up: hot lemon water
Breakfast: Kefir smoothie (sooo good!) 2 tips for drinking smoothies on the way to work: 1) wear gloves or you'll have popsicle hands. 2) Don't drink out of a big-mouth cup. You'll be wearing a smoothie mustache that, unless you have napkins in the car (which I never do, of course), you'll never get off.
Mid-morning snack: hardboiled egg, Good Belly Juice, green tea
Lunch: Chicken Veggie Soup recipe and a cutie, green tea
Afternoon snack/early dinner: grilled salmon super salad.
Dinner: BEER! :)
In addition to the sneaky little ways that I've figured out, here's another way this diet works. Instead of chillin' on the couch watching tv after work, you're slaving away in the kitchen making dinner for that night and then soups and salads for the next day! You're chopping your ass off all night long! Exhausting. But worth it today.
Alright, it's game time! Wright State beats Butler in about 4 hours, which is another reason why I feel no guilt going off the diet today. Gotta celebrate...I hope!!! :)
