Day 3 = STARVING!

So I've figured out how this diet works. You get so nauseous from STARVATION that you don't feel like eating anything! Then you burn so many calories from walking back and forth to go to the bathroom, to fill up your water bottle, and to make your tea that you feel like you're withering away to nothing. Every time I go to the bathroom, I feel like I lose 5 lbs. and I'm not even taking a deuce regularly anymore! So yes, here it is...Day 3 officially feels like a diet.

Here are the most important things to know about Day 3:

1.) This is the feeling that I've been dreading -- STARVATION. It had finally set in during my yoga sculpt class before I ate lunch today.

2.) If you do this diet or any other no-carb diet, DO NOT take a yoga sculpt class unless you eat as much allowable food as possible, especially protein.

3.) If you're listening to the radio in the car and a commercial for a "large hot-n-ready pepperoni pizza" comes on, turn it IMMEDIATELY. I don't even like pepperoni pizza and I can't get that voice out of my head from my drive to work this morning!!!

4.) Don't wear tights and a skirt to work until your bladder is used to holding all of the liquids. My bathroom time has doubled today.

Speaking of bathroom breaks, here is the official count from yesterday: eight total trips at three minutes each during the 8 hour workday. Number-cruncher wiz kids, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that works out to 5% of my workday spent in the bathroom. I'm pleasantly surprised by this low number because it seems like a lot more. Maybe it's just the tights.

Here's the Day 3 menu:

Wake up: Hot lemon water

Breakfast: Fleischman Favorite Omelet (This is the last day in a row that I'm going to have this because I swear, if I get sick of this omelet before the 17 days are up, I'm going to cry.)

Mid-morning snack: plain Greek-style yogurt with blueberries mixed in, sweetened with agave nectar (I'm loving this!), aaaaaand green tea

Lunch: Massive super salad (lettuce, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, green peppers, onions, tomatoes) with diced turkey breast and fat free Italian dressing, a baggie of red grapes, and green tea

Mid-afternoon snack: a hardboiled egg and half of a serving of Kefir (Paul drank his serving and this is all that is left! Also, we ran out of baby carrots, which is another big no-no if you want to succeed.)

Dinner: I'm pumped!! We're making some kind of baked or grilled fish with some delicious steamed veggies!

Dessert: That wonderful last cup of green tea.

As long as my wonderful friend and officemate, Megan, keeps the cheezits out of this office, I might make it through this. If she would have brought them in today, I might have caved! Oh and by the way, Paul didn't drink at work last night!!! :) Yay, babe.

One more note about Megan -- she totally inspired my chicken breast dinner that I made for myself last night and then also for Paul to warm up for lunch today. Meg and I love Healthy Choice meals and for lunch yesterday she had the chicken marinara one. I've had it before and it's sooo good. So I seasoned and grilled two chicken breasts and set them aside. Then I sauteed a couple of minced garlic cloves in a little olive oil, then added a can of diced tomatoes. I simmered them for a while until the juice had reduced a little. Then I dumped broccoli florets on top, covered the pan and let them simmer until they were tender and bright green. Then I mixed them all together with the chicken and it was so absolutely amazing! You should try it!
